Junior Lifeguard Association

The Huntington State Beach Junior Lifeguard Association (HSBJLA) supports the Junior Lifeguard programs at Huntington, Bolsa Chica, Crystal Cove, San Clemente, and Doheny State Beaches. The HSBJLA became a Cooperating Association with California State Parks in May 2021 and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The HSBJLA continues to accept volunteers and donations from the junior lifeguard families and community.

The HSBLJA is partnering with the CA Department of Parks & Recreation to raise funds to build a permanent State Junior Lifeguard training facility on the boardwalk of Huntington State Beach. Every tax-deductible donation helps provide our Junior Guards a safe, sanitary, and up-to-date indoor facility to learn important aspects of beach safety and first aid skills, in an ever-changing aquatic environment.
